How can a person gain value in other people’s eyes? What should we do? And shouldnt do?

By pretending to be better than who you actually are. Play around with it all you want, but that is how it is.

Human being is full of flaws. The best and universal way is to never try to come up to any single person's (flawed) standard. Better to try gaining value in the eyes of your (Perfect) Creator by obeying HIS orders every second/breath of your life, even while dealing with people (through the manners & teachings of the Prophet (saw). HE has a perfect standard which doesn't change and the value of which no one can deny. People's standard and values keep changing from time to time, still those standards might not be always good.
Even if apparently it might not look 'cool' to anyone that you follow the ways of your ideal, but still he would always respect you for it, because in the core of his heart he knows that what you practice is honourable
Ofcourse ones's intention should always be of gaining value in the eyes of the most beloved to us (our Creator) even if everyone else dislikes it.
No one else is even 1 percent as faithful/caring/helpful/merciful/kind/forgiving/understanding/ultimate/true/right...etc. than HIM, not even our mothers.

I don’t think we had a thread on this topic earlier… Trust and act on your words… We all want respect regardless of our circumstances and better communication with the person. By being understanding, we can gain our value because every human value is different from the other…
