Gaik an his respect

if someone sings in an invite, and even professionally in a decent mehfil, would women berate that man, thinking that he is a gaik?

share you thoughts, fellow ladies.

Re: Gaik an his respect

elaboration: why do some people say that a singer is not respectable?
they are ready to listen to his songs, but not make a relationship with him?

Re: Gaik an his respect

I didn’t reply because this was for* fellow ladies* :bummer:

Re: Gaik an his respect

that goes to show, either these my fellow ladies have not read it or have not been able to reply to it with a perspective, and as a young man, if you are able to notice it, then go ahead and share what you would like to.

best :>

Re: Gaik an his respect

Well it's not only the ladies but also men who have double standards when it comes to things like these. We are ready to listen to a singer but not make a relationship. Why? Because the singer is a maraasi

We are ready to watch people on the big screen but not make relationship. Why? Because he/she is badnaam kind of human

I am not saying or encouraging that a person starts working in films or starts singing but if you are going to cause a problem, you better be ready to have a solution also.

Re: Gaik an his respect

absolutely right hum hein la jawab.

people forget that people can become better and even the best.
and not all allied immorality can be ascribed to all people who are in performing arts such as singing or as you gave the example of, acting.

even someone who hosts a stage show, is seen through prejudgment-al ideas of their presumed character - its such a bad hypocrisy.

Re: Gaik an his respect

When it comes to such situations, I can only remember one person and that is Umar Bin Khattab (R.A) :)

  • The same Umar who cursed the muslims for rejecting the faith their forefathers had believed in.
  • The same Umar who hated the Prophet.
  • The same Umar who even planned to kill the Prophet.
  • The same Umar who oppressed a woman and when the woman was migrating away from Makkah, a person asked her why she was leaving and she told the reason. When that person said maybe Umar will change and the lady said 'The Donkey of Umar will become a muslim before He himself does'

So, who was this Umar? It was the same Umar who not only became a muslim but became a hardcore believer and who is only second to Abu Bakr when it comes to rushing to perform good deeds and the same Umar who is only second to Abu Bakr when it comes to being the Khalifah and who will be admitted in Jannah.
