Fraudz, how truly horrible. You know though, there are uncaring jerks in every country. My eldest son has some troubles as you know...well we live in new york and he was placed in a special pre-k program for kids with special needs. NOTE, special needs. My sons biggest problem was (and is) his refusal to eat. At all. The school told me that eating/feeding is not an "educational issue" and they therefore would not/could not provide assistance for him at mealtime. So they would let him go ALL day (8am till 3pm) with NOTHING to eat or drink!!! This is a boy whose condition was termed "Failure to Thrive" (that basically means STARVING).
I had to hire a special-ed attorney go after the school. And this in new york!

You have to wonder what kind os psychological trauma such kids would be going through and how they’d turn out as adults

We had our meeting and the VERY next day, he was provided assistance at mealtime.
The WORST part was that these so-called special-educators would WATCH me come in to the school with my younger 2 children, take my son out of class and feed him in the hallway. Not ONCE was I ever offered assistance, a chair, an extra hand to watch over the younger two.
Makes you really wonder, yeah?

She approached the nurse in the ward and was initially told to mind her own business. Children were crying too loudly, and distracting nurses from their work, she was told.
WTF! Isn’t that their job/work–to actually take care of babies?? Why the hell are htey even working there??? Such beghairat laug.. Someone should choke and gag them to c how much they like it

From what I've seen, people can be so very heartless - no matter what country. I think it becomes almost second nature to them, things break down just a little....they get away with a bit of "borderline abuse"- no consequences - and this gives them the encouragement to take it one step further...and it just degenerates into heartlessness. Those babies, they have no one to fight for them. My son had me, thank goodness I had the ability to hire an attorney and get the assholes to toe the line. But the heartlessness is STILL there. And its so very scary. I know that I have become an over-protective mother but after what I went thru with my son, after seeing how people are allowed to get away with things like this, I cant be any other way.
Fraudz, yes my son's special-ed pre-k program was a public school, state funded but within our local district. He is now in kindergarten with a whole new set of teachers and therapists...ALL of who are working diligently with him. I have no idea YET why the pre-k program was so shabby but its on my to-do list to find out and then to work on FIXING it.
One day INshallah I will have the time and energy to help others who havent the voice to fight for themselves. Maybe if we all could do that - even just a little.

I know firsthand how heartless people can be. when we lost the twins, not only did they make no effort to do anything, stuff that they could have done but chose nto to do, until my sis a doc flew in and threw all kinds of studies in their face on what they could do, but it was too late. It was how we were treated in the hospital afer we lost the babies, so many things.
I guess people get too used to stuff and u end up just aother number a statistic, not a human being to them.
