G1 phone help

I got a G1 and have gone through the manual on setting it up. I am still having trouble with call waiting. If someone calls me when I’m on the phone, it goes directly to voice mail and does not give me the option to switch. In fact I don’t see a missed call, or hear another call coming in.

Anyone knows how to enable that function?

^ Didn't I tell you not to buy G1.
Anyway, check call forwarding settings, if it is set to "Forward when busy" then call waiting option won't work. Check details on page 87 & 88 of the manual.

There is no 87! It ends at 35, and the having fun section ends at 52.

oh you don't have the complete manual

anyway do the following

press "HOME", then press "MENU" and then press "SETTINGS"
IN mobile network section, select "call settings"
wait for settings to be downloaded from network
Go to "call Forwarding"
check it's status
Change it to "Forawd when unaswered"
Repeat step one
Select "additional call settings"
Check Call waiting option (unchecked box means, caller ID will not be displayed)

Do you like it? It looks kinda plain. I was thinking of getting it too, but perhaps a bit later after it's been proven and tested.
