Dialogue and Forum for community women leaders
On December 7, 2006 women organizers will come together in a training/dialogue to explore and discuss the challenges we face as women leaders in the community. This is part of the global effort “16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence”, an initiative of the Center for Womens Global Leadership. In this training/dialogue we will have cross-organizational discussion about the challenges faced by women working for equality and change in the larger social justice arena. This event is open for women organizers, volunteers and activists. Topics to be addressed:
What is Gender Violence and how is it present in our everyday lives and in our work?
What challenges do we face as women activist, educators and organizers?
What are some solutions and strategies to address these challenges?
