It seems that memory and imagination occupies the same 'substance' in our minds eye. Therefore it is indistinguishable for us to determine what is a memory or what is imagination, except that we know where they are located in spacial memory.
It is the location of the thought rather than it's substance that allows us to determine what is real and what is imagination, but if things can alter those spacial locations then we can get quite a surprise, such as those people who get hypnotised or deluded by drugs or go a bit wayward.
Wow this is interesting stuff, I never even thought of it that was but the logic behind is definately right, ah but how wud this apply to short term and long term memory loss? I guess I would understand for long term memory loss but what about short term memory loss, you remember some stuff in the past and forget other things which are more recent.
