An idea from Ishtiaq Ahmed’s novels. (yes yes I said that. Please don’t kill me for that)

a pine nut shaped aircraft that goes up in the space above the globe and descends right at the destination. This will make travel to any location virtually in minutes.

Teleport, as mentioned by TLK bhai, is faster and different but that requires your body to change its form (scary star trek concept). But Rockdom is an absolutey lovely idea. :stuck_out_tongue: You would be able to witness the stars and space stations while in transit. :smiley:
