shame to those NGO's who do more to project these case more to their donners in west, instead of actually doing something within the country to get rid of such evil.
a typical NGO - get the victims story to publish in media instead of helping her to fight for justice for all women. only making media stories in west will not do anything.
They should only highlight to international community only and only if this crime is intentially done by government of Pakistan. all the crimes in Pakistan are dealt like this rape is no exception. no doubt its henious crime and should be dealt with aggressively.
the irony is NGO's are successful in getting it to media in Pak and more in abroad to get What? Shame for Pakistan and more money for the NGO.

Rape figures are much more higher in west compared to Pakistan, why is it so much fuss created like Pakistan is the only country who has this evil???

^ It is not about the instance of rape...it is about the recourse for a victim. For a leader of a country to deem it's citizens as opporutnist whores is the biggest tragedy not a comparison between whether a rape happens every 3 minutes or 3 hrs.
NGO's leverage the media ot bring about change. Advocay for issues requires this channel. NGO's that don't get the word out are not doing the righ tthing.
