What place would you recommend as a furniture store? Its necessary that their prices be good.
Re: Furniture
Macy's Furniture Gallery
Domain
Pier 1 has some nice pieces
Bombay
Raymour & Flannigan
Re: Furniture
Pakistan :p
Re: Furniture
Ikea is a good furniture store and my favourite .
Re: Furniture
Right now we have some Ikea because it's disposable and cheap, but somewhat sylish in a 'assemble yourself' kind of way. I like some Pottery Barn stuff though.
Re: Furniture
Bombay
Pottery Barn
Crate and Barrell
Neiman Marcus -if you have loads of money. Their furniture is exquisite.
IKEA....is only good for temporary situations. Oh and only buy it if you dont plan on moving it. It will fall apart if you do. It's very cheap quality made out of plywood (did i spell that correctly?) They do however have nice accessories.
Re: Furniture
Oh god, you people are talking way out of my league. I refuse to pay 600 bucks for a darn couch, for example. I'm talking about getting a decent breakfast table for 100 dollars. Yes, with chairs.
Re: Furniture
^You can find that at Ikea.
What's your style? How picky are you? Do you want something that will last for a long time, or something disposable?
Re: Furniture
then Ikea it is. You should also check out craigs list. From what i hear they have some gently used items that are really priced well.

Ikea is def disposable.
Re: Furniture
Ikea is excellent..but as angel eyes says... if u plan on moving around a lot.. then its not worth it... what i've also noticed is Ikea's quality is going down... we have had ikea furniture since the 70's and its still in mint coniditon.. even after having moved it 7-10 timeS.. not at all wobbly . very firm...
Then we recently bought furniture from the canadian Ikea, moved here, and its still firm but u can tell it wont stand for another move..
sorta heartbreaking :(
Re: Furniture
Craigs list!!! That's the one I had heard about. I had forgotten the name.
Re: Furniture
