Re: furniture for living room

I have moved into my new house last year. This is what i did:

formal lounge is huge rectangle shape, so i have 3 seater, 2 seater and 2 seater sofas, leather material in white colour(bad choice as get dirty very quickly) on one side chocolate coffee table and dinning table. dinning table is on the other end. three walls are neutral colour but one wall, where dinning table is, is chocolate/brown colour. Curtains are charcoal as i couldnt get any mathcing colour and would be too much brown/chocolate.

now I am in process of chooseing cushions for the lounges…i am planning for brown and gray, white all different colours.
one wall has decorative, huge, clock about 70cm in diameter. other wall ha Islamic wall hangings. It has Allahs 99 name. its double glassed and frame is antique but in brown colour.

so hard to match colours. but overall my formal sitting does luk gud.

We recently did our living room, we have a black and grey corner group sofa its quite massive, 3 walls r neutral. The wall where our tv is, we painted it ‘mulberry burst’ which is like a purple/plum shade. We have dark grey carpet and it sets it off nicely. I just need to get a nice clock and on wall i have some islamic art up, we have a coffee table which is a walnut color with a ‘black’ glass

Re: furniture for living room

I love decorative clocks. I have 2 big decorative clocks (i will post pics later) and 1 i sent to my MIL as she loved it as well. I got like this for my room but my MIL liked it so i sent her instead. Now I am looking for more clocks but not finding good one.

Ahhh housing is so expensive in Australia and too difficult to find a good home. I am glad that it seemed you got a nice spacious home otherwise in reasonable price here homes are too tiny :). Specially if you are relocated from Pakistan just about 3 yrs ago. Not sure about other cities may be but Perth is very expensive from housing point of view.
Putting shelf is a good idea Cancerian for the decore and all or may be you can have the decorative lamp there if you want!!!

Yes in Sydney housing market is very expensive and rental even worse. 2 years ago we rented for $500 per week, old house.

But we have our own house now. We couldn’t afford such big house but with the help and support of my dad we gt land than built huge house for half the cost of builders. We didn’t realized that what we are building it too much now we are planning to downsize it.

A decent house(3 bedroom with 2 bathroom) in outer sydney costs about $450 000.

Re: furniture for living room

Thats too nice of your dad masha’Allah. Yep the home we living in is 440 per week but its a decent house. 3 beds and 2 baths. However backyard is too small and as its corner house so no much privacy. Living area is also small and kitchen is not very well planned however Alhamdulillah. We would be but thinking to move next year to a home having lounge area.

Re: furniture for living room

Nursery market is really good for furniture in Karachi. Or a hidden gem is Madina market near soldier bazaar where they do custom made stuff for amazing prices. For the high end of the market there is Kalamkar and Wroghten Habit in the Defence/ Clifton area I believe.
