Actually no. Whatever the Prophet pbuh has thaught us, you cannot replace.
You can acknowledge something good in another culture, but never bring it into the culture of islam, especially if its against the religion of islam.
Islam itself is pure, it doesn’t have any competition, when it comes to good ethics and moral conduct. How life is governed is there.
YOu can’t have people praying in the day time, using miswaak, going to masjid..then coming home to listen to music cause some scientists say its good for u.

What is wrong with you guys! She looks unbelievably phony! And the hijabs are ugly to say the least.
But yeah if its to show that shes a muslim then I guess she can do that, although it still destroys the whole purpose of wearing a hijab but I guess they can make it a fashion statement if they want, why not.

Hiccup and HOW does this make me a hypo? Do I go around modeling my hijab? I always admit what my mistakes are and thats half the battle, unlike other people who not only do wrong things but try to justify why its ok to do them.

Tikhi you came across as extremely judgmental and thus my comments. None of us have found the pics in the link funny - only you have - and we were trying to figure out what's so funny about them.
There was a thread that PCG had posted once with models wearing hijab while wearing mid-riffs and mini-skirts. If you had found those insulting then I could have understood.
I don't think this women is displaying her beauty by showing her eyes, nose, and lips which were never from my understanding were ordained by Allah swt to be covered. Wallah-o-alam.

^ THEY ARE NOT REAL GIRLS! Do you know them personally that they practice hijab in real life? I doubt it. As it is, they are MODELS, NOT girls like you or me. They are just doing their job, models wear shorts, dresses, pants, salwar kameez, lingerie etc. They are selling a product and a look. Now if this was some sort of "personal" picture, that wud go in gallery2 then u mite hav a point but as it is u r comin off as judgemental here

Thats exactly what it is, a model displaying hijab outfits for hijabis. It isn’t a personal picture, just a commercial one. It doesn’t demean hijabis in any way.

For God's sake! she's not advertising her b*bs or a* in those pics. Nothing wrong with her makeup either, I'm having a hard time finiding what's unIslamic in her photos. She hasn't even applied red or hot pink lipstick which is mostly considered 'sexy'. I really think there should be more modeling like this in Pakistan...we should promote an Islamic attire instead of the western dressing we consider as a hot fashion!!
