Fun

How to make your working-out hour a fun hour? Music can be a motivation, errrmmm what else?

A strong desire will always keep you motivated.

Re: Fun

And how to develop that strong desire in the first place?

Re: Fun

I was telling this thing to Maham on another thread. To need to motivate yourself, try to imagine yourself in that perfect figure which you always wished to have. Support yourself, take a decesion and ask yourself...that is possible...i am not going to quit, am not a looser.

Re: Fun

Mods - You've got a job.

Re: Fun

that's brilliant....but I am motivated. It's just sometime I skip or sometimes I speed up and make hurry finishing the session.

Re: Fun

another question: jogging in the park or treadmill or pretend running....which is more fun?

Re: Fun

static running is not fun at all!!!!!!

Re: Fun

Jogging in park oughta be more fun! Socially and physically!

Re: Fun

pretend running in ones sleep is the funnest.

Hareem a treadmil can be very helpful. Warm up, and then increase your speed to the highest level that you can run, and keep running on that high speed for however long you can (try 3-5 minutes). Then bring the speed back down to really slow and walk on this slow speed for 2-3 minutes. And repeat.

This techique burns a lot more calories than running at the same speed for the entire duration of the workout.

There is a specific name for this technqiue, I can't remember, may be Jimmy can help?

Re: Fun

Have you ever tried Zumba? Don't have to go out to a class, you can get a video/dvd to do the workout at home, in your own comfort level

yeh, this is called running intervals/reps. and it is something runners do to peak for a race. and something you should only do if you have a solid foundation of easy pace runs.. at the very least around 20-30 miles a week. else it is the easiest way to aches, pains, injury, frustration.

nothing burns calories like consistency. boring, but best way is to run regularly at a pace that wont leave you feeling tired.

^ oh yeah, that's right.. interval training.

I'm not the expert so do your research before doing this.. lol

Re: Fun

thanks all.

its called interval training. and its an excellent way of losing all that fat.

maybe having a friend or someone work out with you too?

Re: Fun

Everytime I need motivation, I watch The Devil Wears Prada.

Nothing motivates you like a bunch of skinny girls running around in size 0 clothing.
