My daughter who has just turned 4 used to get bored easily , and want’s to do what “mummies doing” so I start letting her do what “mummies do”, and she loves taking part, and I noticed that she has become more confident and is learning loads through practical activities such as:
:kap: she help’s take the clothes out of the basket and she passes them to me.
she also loves making cakes and trifal she enjoys mixing n measuring the ingredients.
:wm: she puts the clothes in the washing and knows how to put the washing machine on, and loves putting the washing powder and comfort in.
:dwash: she enjoy’s washing up, well what she calls washin lol :Dwhilst im in the kitchen and cause she can’t reach the sink I put a stable stool under her.
I also ensure that I have suitable activies available to sustain her attention throughout the day to keep her busy as she get’s bored easily, (shall post pics of activity ideas.)
what kind of activites do u do with your child/ren at home to promote there learning?? lets share!!
btw she loves takin part, she even loves settin the table out for dinner and has no pressure if she does’nt want to take part, if I put the washing machine on without her knowing she actually gets upset and says " ohh I wanted to do that"
child labor is prohibited in many countries if you know. :D
Just kidding *please make sure she understands that she is not allowed to do all those activities while mommy is not around or some adult is not watching her. *
Yes it boosts their moral and puts loads of confidence in them. At our neighborhood grocery store they have child sized shopping cart with a flag on it saying , customer in training , my daughter loved that and had load of fun with that shopping cart.
yeeh she loves playdough, do u cook your playdough usin cream of tarter??
it comes out great and lasts!!
thats is sooooooooo sweet, and must make the children feel valued , i wish they had that in the uk!!
**and **mashalla my daughter is very sensible and understands the importance of having an adult around, and says comments like " an adult must put it in the oven, cause its hot hot hot" ( from big cook little cook for those of u from uk)
my daughter says that when she wants the day off nursery!!
My 6 year old is all into crafts. I buy her glue, scissors, cocnstruction paper, stickers, glitter, markers, etc. and unfinished boxes, etc, from the fabric store. Then she gets busy creating stuff.
She also helps me in making salads, peeling potatoes, cleaning windows, folding laundry.
My 2.5 year old likes to do everything her sister does.
my 4 years old is so fond of maps.....all kinds of them....from Atlas to road maps and even the maps on wedding cards and leaflets.....he spends quite a lot of time analyzing them and asking me the names of places, roads and streets.

This maybe of interest to your child, hareem
type in cbeebies, and then once u get onto the site go on to all cbeebies characters
and then click on to barnaby bear and then play the game fairy footprints, im sure your 4 year old will love it as they use maps!!
These are few pics of my 4 years old art projects just to give you an idea of kohl books.
if your child goes to a day nursery or kindergarten, may be you can do these projects on weekends or in holidays, you’ll surely find an improvement in her/his artistic skills after going through these books.
