Arabic mai aik tip hai..names of things which end in 'ة ' are considered female...
Urdu mai aisa kuch nai kya ?

normally alif pe khatm hone wale are male, ye pe khatm hone wale females, but many exceptions exist.

All scientific instruments like TV, camera, phone, internet, computer are male
