FuLL NAQAB to the extreme... Doesn't seem right..?

I have a cousin who got married to some girl who does full naqab. She looks like a black ghost walking around all the time. She even wears black sun glasses and gloves when it’s 100 deg. outside! She visited for a day with my cousin from houston that just moved there and I just couldn’t stand it!

Did GOD really make the human face to be covered like that? Wasn’t the face made for a reason? Did he say walk around like WALKING GHOSTS!?! <—ghosts are actually better cause they have eyes and noses and mouths.

I know it’s Islam and the religon is beyond perfect but I think people have taken the wrong meaning of wearing naqab and she doesn’t really want to do it but my cousin her husband makes her. Similar to how some people out there believe blowing themselves up and taking innocent lives is what god has said to do.

Is it really right to make some one wear full naqab head to toe…she might as well be dead if life was to be like that.

Re: FuLL NAQAB to the extreme… Doesn’t seem right..?

I think its freakin creepy… its takin it to the extreme… hijab, abaya whatever is fine, but niqaab is too much… maybe in pak or saudi it wud be fine but… agh… ur cousin’s even worse for makin her do that… a husband isn’t supposed to force his wife to do that… force is unislamic…2 bad unpahr jahils cant understnad that

Re: FuLL NAQAB to the extreme... Doesn't seem right..?

wat else huby shudnt force;)

Re: FuLL NAQAB to the extreme... Doesn't seem right..?

Well yea I think it's a bit extreme when women even cover their faces, but it's much better than wearing fitted clothes/no hijaab/etc. I guess they just want to be on the safe side (as in make sure they are following Islam correctly). But, yea that is a bitscary :-.

They have abiyaas and niqaabs that have like really pretty colors and designs so yea it's not like they have to wear black.

Re: FuLL NAQAB to the extreme… Doesn’t seem right..?

i have this aunty jee (she is my dad’s cousin) she wears 24/7 arabic type chadar on her head.. and then she wears a skirt until her knees :rotfl:
we call her “sar say cover neechay say nanga”

Re: FuLL NAQAB to the extreme... Doesn't seem right..?

the sunglasses n the gloves mite seem a little extreme..but its coz of perverted guys that women need to go to such extremes.

the whole reason the niqaab was started was coz some idiots could not control themselves. there was nothing bout covering urself in the quran until Umar RA said that the women need to cover.

n if she does such a thing...u dont need to critcize her for it...thats how she wants to be ...let her be. if u have a problem with that...dont look at her...

n if she's forced to doing such a thing...then its wrong. n thers no point of it...funny...the whole forcing thing huh rocki??? ppl need to take a stand for themselves...

Re: FuLL NAQAB to the extreme… Doesn’t seem right..?

^ that’s true why are we crticizing someone for just trying to be a good muslim? :smack:

Re: FuLL NAQAB to the extreme... Doesn't seem right..?

^we all do it...n dont realize it

instead of looking at ourselves...we go n criticize other ppl

Re: FuLL NAQAB to the extreme… Doesn’t seem right..?

Y’all need to be more respectful towards those who prefer to wear niqaab and gloves. Just because it doesn’t align with your beliefs does not necessarily mean it’s wrong.

Funny how easily people like to call those who observe niqaab as extremists. Now if the same niqabis start calling the non-hijabis and others as extremists (for not following Islam) I’m sure we’ll have a riot here.

For those who might be genuinely interested to learn, niqaab according to many scholars is obligatory, while others don’t think it’s obligatory. Different scholars have different views, but I’ve yet to come across a knowledgeable scholar who thinks observing niqaab is extremism.

Here are the two views:

Dude, I said she was being forced to wear one. My mother asked her if she wants to and she said no but my husband tells me to. Boo ya!

Re: FuLL NAQAB to the extreme... Doesn't seem right..?

^ur still criticizing her...n if u dont like it...simply dont look at her

Re: FuLL NAQAB to the extreme... Doesn't seem right..?

She's in my house eating my food sleeping on my bed. How can I not look at her?

Re: FuLL NAQAB to the extreme... Doesn't seem right..?

Man she does niqaab inside the house?

Re: FuLL NAQAB to the extreme... Doesn't seem right..?

^^That's what pisses me off. We are all younger and cousins and she's doing it in my house! It's like a bhoot your sitting with who can't even interact cause ISLAM says not to talk to any other guy in the world other then your husband. hahahahaha!

Re: FuLL NAQAB to the extreme... Doesn't seem right..?

^stop hating...let her be

Re: FuLL NAQAB to the extreme... Doesn't seem right..?

no body lets any one be :)

Re: FuLL NAQAB to the extreme... Doesn't seem right..?

^no kidding...but u can at least try

Re: FuLL NAQAB to the extreme... Doesn't seem right..?

this is quite a controversial topic
Religion shouldnt be confused with culture
the things we are talking about are more related to culture - rather than Religion
CULTURALLY the Naqab or Pardah is observed in various ways in different cultures of the world.
In saudi Arabia and the rest of the gulf - it means covering head to toe in black abaya - with only eyes showing - even these are shielded in most part of saudi arabia and the middle east region.
In Pakistan / India it means wearing a loose overcoat and a head gear with a veil in front
In Iran, the face is not covered - A loose chaddar is worn on top of the dress with the top part worn in such a way that NO HAIR shows.

and so on and on and on ..

The real extremities (if we may so call them - considering the topic of this thread ) are observed in KSA , Afghanistan and NWFP part of Pakistan.

IN GENERAL it means wearing a garb in a such a way that your body contours are not visible and your hair also shouldnt show. When you perform UMRAH or HAJJ , women CAN NOT cover the face .....

so i guess we shouldnt be too harsh on the ppl who do it for purely cultural reasons - and they feel comfortable with it.

well said

Re: FuLL NAQAB to the extreme… Doesn’t seem right..?

when u go for hajj n umrah…tawaaf logoun ke aage hota hai…does that make it ok to walk infront of ppl while they’re praying in the masjid? n some women n men pray together…does it make it ok for them to do it in every masjid?
