Re: Full coverage foundation
I was gonna suggest KVD as well, I have been meaning to get one for myself too
Currently what I use for full coverage foundation, when I need a break from my air-brush is Makeupforever mate velvet foundation and or Bobby brown foundation stick, I personally like the first one more since it really gives a matte look but I still need to use a concealer underneath to cover any dark spots, where as with the BB stick I don't need anything, it gives super amazing coverage, but since it is a bit on the creamy side, I do tend to blot my face now n then
oh and I have also heard great things about cover fx foundations, do look into that one as well! hope this helps :)
Re: Full coverage foundation
I swear If You want something Extreme Coverage I thiink Only these two foundations are the best.
Like everywhere you’ll go every counter person will tell you oh this is full cover or this is extreme coverage, But no its not true.
I’ve tried sooo many foundation and I have to say The best of best full cover foundations are:
Illamasqua’s Rich Liquid
Kat Von D’s Lock it Tattoo
And Krylon Tv paint stick
Hands down these three are my holy grail foundations. I love em all
Illamasqa might be the most extreme coverage foundation out a all of these
and that’s why i love love love that one
the tattoo lock is also very full coverage also it’s basically exactly the same coverage but the only thing I think is different between them
is that with rich liquid you only need like dime size amount to get max. coverage of course you can build it up but trust me when i say you literally
need dime size with that, you wouldn’t need more than that, it’s basically like liquid paint. Tattoo you may just need a little more than dime size
But still the same kinda coverage. And the kyrlon tv paint stick is very buildable, cuz i know people who want natural coverage wear that as well
but with very little amount, But same with this you can build up to max coverage. But i think the tattoo and rich liquid beet the krylon by just a little bit.
A lot of people say it is difficult to work with the rich liquid but I don’t think so And i don’t even have oily skin, Yet it never looked cakey on me.
You just need to make sure to apply a very thin layer of something like Vaseline or deep moisturiser because otherwise it will make stick to the dry patches of the skin. And just have well ex foliated skin. I mean i only ex foliate my skin once a week so yea not that big of a deal if your washing your face very well every night.
I just apply very thin layer of Nivea and then apply the rich liquid with my flat top kabuki.
So yea give it a try, I’m sure you’ll be very pleased.
I think the lock it tattoo one is easier to get your hand on since it is sold at every sephora. I’m not too sure about if your sephora carries illamasqua or not.
Mine didn’t so I had to order it online.
Here’s the way the rich liquid looks on my skin:
In the first pic, I have rich liquid On in shade RF233
and in the second, pic I have Lock it Tattoo foundation in shade Medium 54
In the second ( lock it tatoo) I applied a very thin layer, because I was in a hurry that day
But you can still see how good it covers But if you apply two layers it’s looks exactly the same as rich liquid.
Watch you tube vids on these two foundations, you’ll be convinced.
although the rich liquid doesn’t have many reviews I had only found two or three and a lot of the reviews i read on blogs/google
were kinda negative too, people complained that it made their skin really flaky, which i agree it will IF you do not apply this properly
If you skin is well ex foliated and moisturised it will just look soo nice.
Btw My skin is not even close to perfect , so yea don’t think it’s cuz my skin is already that good
I don’t have acne or post acne scars or anything but i do have hyper pigmentation around my mouth and uneven skin tone.
Any ways Good Luck and if you try any of these do let me know how you liked em =)

I wanna try the new Kat von D foundation. It's full coverage and is suppose to be amazing
I want to try it but keep hearing mixed reviews on it...I think I'll go sampling soon.

Cover FX is great but its tricky to wear. You have to practice application for it to look flawless.
I am using Lancome's Teint Idole Ultra...I like it a lot. Definitely worth trying out.
Re: Full coverage foundation
Do you find that the Kat Von D one looks natural in real life? I want something that doesnt look like a mask when Im wearing it.
Re: Full coverage foundation
Yes the KVD one is a little more natural
but you can def. build it extreme coverage.
Re: Full coverage foundation
Estee Lauder Double Wear, Revlon Colorstay, MAC Full Coverage (I use the last one every day, it lasts agesss as you only need the tiniest bit for daytime use)..
Not full coverage (more medium) but another good one is MAC Pro Longwear.. I was sent this the other day by accident but ended up really liking it..
Re: Full coverage foundation
Mac Pro coverage looks amazing, I remember Milly and Stoppit said they use it and it looks greaton them. I use Mac Studio Fix and I find it flattering, but some people say it oxidises too quickly on them. My sister uses Bobbi Brown and it looks like she has nothing on, it looks that natural on her.
Also, alysha that looks HAMAZING on you, I really like the second one too!
Re: Full coverage foundation
Mac does make me orange by the end of the day, I was thinking of combining UD's makeup setting spray to see if that will prevent it.
Yall will be surprised but try revlon's colorstay foundation line it really does the trick for me. It sets very quickly so you have to quickly apply and blend it out but once it's there it's there all day. For me I have had the best results with this brand.
Re: Full coverage foundation
I tried the KVD foundation and I was not a fan.. It looked very mask-like on me. It might have looked better with a setting spray I think to take down the cakiness. Plus finding a shade to match me wasn't fun. I use the Tarte Amazonian Clay full coverage and I love it... covers everything and looks natural. I should say though I don't have a ton of skin issues.. I get a random pimple here and there and my skin tone is relatively even.
The KVD concealer though - is actual garbage... my MAC select cover up does a better job!

Have you tried the Revlon Whipped Creme foundation? I LOVE that stuff. The packaging kind of sucks but I love the coverage and the finish.
Re: Full coverage foundation
OMG I totally agree and I totally forgot to add the revlon whipped foundation.... Its amazing It covers really good and looks really nice on the skin
I wear that one a lot more now, I just recently dicovered it and I think it's a very nice cheap alternative to some of my expensive ones
I didn't try this foundation for a while cuz I tried the orginal colorstay which ppl raved about, but I actually wasn't a big fan of that one, I dunnu why but it would never blend properly on my skin. but this one is just perfect especially paired with loreal true match powder. seriously I'm very surprised by such good results, and that too from a drugstore foundation.
Re: Full coverage foundation
I'll try to find a pic, If i have one
Re: Full coverage foundation
Here’s a pic of me wearing color-stay whipped.
I think it’s very decent coverage.
Re: Full coverage foundation
I am loving the Kat von D foundation in the pictures you uploaded, currently I use MAC(NC40/42) and NARs(Barcelona). I actually want to purchase KVD Lock it tattoo and want to figure out the shade as I have to order online. Would you be able to recommend what shades to go for?
