Heard they have a harmful affect on health … especially for infants. Does anyone know to what extent they are harmful for kids under 8 months old?
Re: Full body x-ray scanners at airports
Would they actually put a baby in the scanner?
Re: Full body x-ray scanners at airports
They might. They actually made an 8 month old baby fully extend his arms and legs sideways to do a full body check on him.
r these full body scanners only in uk or other coutnries as well?
Re: Full body x-ray scanners at airports
they are deploying them in most western airports

Re: Full body x-ray scanners at airports
From what I heard, they don't use xrays but some non threatening type of electromagnetic rays.
Re: Full body x-ray scanners at airports
Flew out from Heathrow on wed and didn't notice anyone being asked to go thru a scanner at all, was not that busy tho.. Someone on the Ummah forum is asking ppl to sign a petition, saying it's being targetted at Muslims or those who are 'ethnic', dunno if I agree with that tho..

Re: Full body x-ray scanners at airports
If you have nothing to hide , then why such a hulla gulla , about full body scan ? Like you will stop flying or you would refuse to be subjected to full body scan ? And by the way if you do not want to be scanned they will still gladly do it the old fashioned way by touching you at crouch with that thanda danda . They can take you to that room where you will have to take off majority of your clothes. So till the world becomes a peaceful place ( a fools dream) flyer's have no choice.
