I’ve been wanting to get a fuschia/barbie pink lipstick for a while, I heard good things about MAC’s Candy Yum Yum but the MAC counters here don’t have testers. I was wondering if someone could recommend a good lipstick in this shade for someone with NC37 skin tone. High end and drug store recommendations are both welcome. I’m apprehensive about buying a lipstick without trying it on first, so recs from someone with the same kind of skin tone as mine would be really helpful.

I’m about NC40/NC42 & I have MAC Girl About Town. Candy Yum Yum’s undertones are a bit too cool for me. MAC Impassioned is a beautiful pink but it doesn’t have the boldness/barbie pink effect you’re looking for.
Another thing to keep in mind is the formula. Girl About Town is amplified cream. Candy Yum Yum is matte. BTW, you said the counters there don’t have testers….but are you able to return a product if you don’t like it?

I am in love with the Smashbox ‘BE legendary lipstick’ in ‘fucshia flash’. It’s more fucshia, and not the barbie candy pink? which one are you looking for? more vibrant or the baby pink?
I wear this shade all the time and it looks absolutely gorgeous. However I am an NC30-35, but you should give it a try
Can you recommend some YSL ones please? Something that looks universally good (kinda like the way MAC’s Ruby Woo looks good on everyone), because I’ll have to ask someone to send those lipsticks to me and won’t be able to try them on.

Melting into a pool of pink!!! Smash box has really outdone itself with their lipstick line. I have their Fig and I love love love that color. Now I need this fuchsia color in my life
I have one of the YSL Rouge Volupté lipsticks in a shade called Provocative Pink and it sounds a bit like what you’re looking for. It looks quite dark in the tube, but once you have it on, it looks more fuschia/pink. The consistency is also very nice. It’s soft, creamy and almost feels like a lip balm.
