Oh ok, its fashion tv.
FTV actually seems to be a worldwide network that is actually not owned by ARY, but they’ve got one branch of the network now operating in Asia. ARY is probably in charge of making the shows for it, etc.
Nice…Pakistan bagged an international channel before India did. Cool.

Since we're all speculating, I'll add my two cents. I definitely think that Frieha Altaf is behind this channel in some way or another. She has to be, she is THE force behind the fashion scene in Pak. And then that woman knows how to get things done -- just see this year's Lux Style awards where she did a brilliant job .

no india already has HBO, Discovery, National Geographic, etc.
and this is not the first channel to be “bagged” by pakistan. already we have HBO and that also being brought to you by ARY. they got a license last year from HBO to broadcast in pakistan officially. similarily, FTV’s license was also bought by ARY.

FTV is a load of crap anyway. Unless you're into watching skeletons parading up and down a catwalk.
However I think the pakistani arm of FTV could be really good considering how good our fashion is with far prettier and bulkier models.

a really big boost to the fashion industry of pakistan. we need the exposure to promote our fashion shows, the photographers, and not forgetting our hot models :P

ftv in india as far as i remember started in 1997-98.since then it got many warnings and even got banned for its obscene fashion shows by ministry of information and broadcasting.last it was banned in 2006 for a month.
