Re: Fruit Chaat wali Chutney

I dont know hot to make it but closest thing I have ever used is Shan’s Chat Masala

Re: Fruit Chaat wali Chutney

Don't know about the red chutney...but I usually squeeze fresh orange juice after combining all the fruits with some salt and chaat masala. The "chutney" becomes red cuz of strawberries.

Re: Fruit Chaat wali Chutney

i dont know the recipe but that red sauce is basically a version of plum/aloo bukhara chutney. Its very yummy.
As for the fruit chaat, we usually add a can of Goya Guava nectar, gives it a nice scent and flavor...we add orange juice as well sometimes.

Re: Fruit Chaat wali Chutney

I also use the orange juice in fruit chaat but wanted the red chutney because it gives it different taste. Hubby said its not the chutney ots the dirt which goes in chaat and makes it taste different.

Re: Fruit Chaat wali Chutney

i love that....going to raja bazaar and eating their fruit chaat/dahi baray..yum yum! my mom says the chutney in anar type chutney...at home we put fresh home made plum chutney...yum yum....
tip: we add mango pulp to our fruit chaat....makes a nice tangy flavour!!!!
