A partially frozen American Falls due to subfreezing temperatures is seen in Niagara Falls, Ontario Feb. 17, 2015. The temperature dropped to 6 degrees Fahrenheit (-14 Celsius) on Tuesday.
The last time Niagara Falls completely froze over was 1848, but recent arctic temperatures this winter and the “polar vortex” of last winter has frozen over vast parts of Niagara Falls creating a beautiful winter wonderland.
