Hi guys,

me and a couple of friends are trying to plan a trip this coming march 2016. We are trying to avoid the usual USA getaway.

We have a little criteria -

  1. BUDGET – cheap airline tickets, hotel accommodation
  2. Attractions
  3. Safety
  4. Weather

Can you guys suggest some destinations?

So far, Hawaii is on our list - only downfall is that even the direct flight is way too long.
Another option is Dublin, Portugual

Florida packages from Toronto are reasonably priced which include airfare, hotel and a rental car.

the ONLY downside is our weak dollar against the US.

Go to Cuba!

If you're intent on Europe, then how about Spain...Barcelona is glorious!! And Grenada/Córdoba cannot be missed either!

London is cold in March. Better to head to go Portugal/Spain.

A relatively inexpensive trip is Thailand (yes, I am a fan!!). Flights are a bit more expensive than to Europe, but you save on Thai hotels and food, in comparison to what you pay in Europe - so it balances out.

The only downside is the flight time - about 23 hours with stopover. But...you make back a day when coming back to Toronto because of the time difference.

The weather is great and there is tons to do - Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai - food, sites, culture and history and it's easy to get around on public transit.

Malaysia seems nice, plus no worries about halal food too.
But it's a long way from toronto though

Thank you everyone for your replies. I have actually lived in Dubai and visit once a year anyways.
Istanbul is an option for us.
Now we are also considering Latin/Central America. Costa Rica is an option..

Do Vegas. A good hotel on the strip with air ticket is very affordable. Go to Vegas.com for the package deal
