From the Parliament.

Yesterday, the Sindh Assembly session was to discuss and deliberate upon the worrysome killing of Abdullah Murad, a PPP (Parliamentarian) MPA who was shot dead on 6th March, 2004. The debators on the Opposition side were clearly making references to the Government of being involved in the murder. This resulted in a fiery arguments when MQM slated PPP for its past ventures when their leaders were implicated in the false cases and the PPP accused the MQM of hijacking the urban Sindh and running the affairs by sheer brute force and terrorism.
Well, not going to the details, what made me think abstractly was the belief in “survival of fittest theory”

Mahreen Bhutto lamented the loss of Abdullah Murad and condemned the MQM led Government for not getting FIR registered for the case. Muhammad Hussain of MQM rose up and said, “Hum muqaddime bazee se naheen darte, agar hamaree khawateen members ke khilaaf bhee 6 cases darj ho jaien to woh cheen tak naheen kareingeen”

While looking at the referred Khawateen Members I sighed. Rule of law is what is missing in the country our forefathers created for our safety.

Notes from my diary for 22nd March 2004 that I took last night after analysing my daily activities.
