Today not very many know about or remember (late) Muzaffar Warsi Sahab, at least not by his name. He was a big name in Urdu literary circles of 80s & 90s. He was a poet, a writer, and a columnist. In the early part of his literary work, he wrote classical Urdu nazms/ghazls, songs but then moved away to solely focus on writing Na'ats and Hamd which he would also recite on PTV. Just like his humble and down to earth personality, he had a gracefully simple recitation style free of any extravagance and over the top display of devoutness. In his professional life, he worked for State Bank of Pakistan.
He passed away in 2011. May Allah Ta'alah fill his grave with His noor and give him higher rankings in the life of Hereafer Inshallah.
