tomorrow, if the u.s. embassy in islamabad were to hand out free green cards, half of pakistan, may be even more, would be sitting in amreeka next week. yet paradoxically, no other nation on earth is as anti-american as pakistanis are.
why?
why this pathological and irrational hatred of america which in the end only hurts pak? sure americans have been screwing the poor palestinians but then, the cheenas have been occupying muslim territory of xinjiang and yet we are friends with the cheenas. similarly jinnah cooperated with the british even though britian was occupying india and jinnah offered all possible support to the brits when they took india to wwii with consulting with the natives. in contrast to jinnah’s stance, congress decided to stop cooperating with the british govt to protest against unilateral declaration of war. while congress was clearly operating on a higher moral plane than jinnah was, in the end muslim league gained huge advantage over congress during this period due to far-sightedness of jinnah.
too bad our awam these days is too dumb to think of national interest when it comes to dealing with america. pakistanis hate successful people and hatred of america is simply an extension of this emotion. also america keeps countries in line and pakistanis being ill disciplined people dont like doing what they are told. pakistani behavious is nothing more than apnay paon pey kulharee maarna.
