From Meer Jafar to Zardari

Why sub-continent produced so many people like Meer Jafar, who can do anything in favor of enemies and against their country?

Re: From Meer Jafar to Zardari

Zardari is more important in his power, the same might be true for Mir jaffar.

Re: From Meer Jafar to Zardari

But don’t you think in long run such policies affects your popularity?

Oh forget it in the society, where people vote on the name of sympathy :bummer:

Re: From Meer Jafar to Zardari

It won't matter in Pakistan , our country still votes on "dieties" like we have in the shape of Bhutto or benazir, and baradari system. So they are safe for now. I have seen jiyalas to abstain from voting if they are unhappy with their party's performance.

Anyways, when people's party came to power in 2008, I was very hopeful of them performing. But 4 years down the track I don't see anything in governance, development, energy generation, terrorism (fata) and balochistan. I don't care if they win the next elections or not but I don't have any hope from them too.

Re: From Meer Jafar to Zardari

So coming to original question, do such people come again and again on scene (with different names), because our people got short-memories?

Re: From Meer Jafar to Zardari

Same people or other people with same mentality ?

Re: From Meer Jafar to Zardari

Re: From Meer Jafar to Zardari

All cultures have thier spies and traitors, the subcontinent is no better or worse than any other place for this.

From Ephialtes to Benedict Arnold, Bin Laden to Boraku Ergin every culture and nation is full of people like that. Greed and Ego are real killers man. :p

Re: From Meer Jafar to Zardari

Right that it is present in every culture, but some how I feel that its an unending cycle in our areas. We still got namoonas like Rehman Malik todate :bummer:

Re: From Meer Jafar to Zardari

So has America and every other country, problem is our people are either lazy or ignorant or just not told whats going on. I have not heard of a single instance of a smart protest in Pakistan, no occupy movement, no boycott league, not much activism at all in the media... not that its not happening its only the bad stuff that makes the press.

No wonder the country is in such a bad shape. Scandinavia meanwhile totally rocks I thought the area sucked but after visiting it it turned out to be a perfect model and helped shape a lot of my new thoughts.

Re: From Meer Jafar to Zardari

Swedish are socialist aren't they?

Re: From Meer Jafar to Zardari

its a cycle that keeps people dumb. People are not being provided opportunities to get themselves educated and in turn they chose same people again and again who know how to exploit them in future (by keeping them away from education).

Whats the story of Scandinavia BTW? and you left your Malaysia thread in between :)

Re: From Meer Jafar to Zardari

I believe so yes but so are the Norweigians and they rock too. In fact I think the new Norwiegian culture minister is a Muslim lady. Take that Breivik Facists :faris:
