Ever wondered the cosmos won’t last just like niether of us would? Is it possible for the cosmos to shrink on itself until it becomes the size of a walnut -it will shrink until it disappears. Then will born another universe --may be just like ours, may be not. Do you believe the comos is forever expanding? ![]()
Hmmmmmm.....if it is expanding so much.......might need a diet!!!
:D
but seriously...yes, what you say is true! however for the cosmos to shrink it will take another 4500 or 45 (do not remeber precisely) million years! so we have nothing to worry! :)
The next ice age is expected in fifteen thousand years – global warming put aside – don’t know if it will cause any reduction in size.
lol… I like your avatar!
wellll..the numbers you mentioned are really to relieve ourselves from the tension that the world isn’t coming to an end as rapidly as it sounds… ..and how can you be so sure that the cosmos isn’t going to start shrinking any sooner than that?? It may start to shrink the very moment…
of course..it’s all in Allah’s hands..!!
How does it have anything to do with the cosmos?
thanks!
well…if the cosmos starts shrinking any sooner, i will PM you..so don’t worry ![]()
well, why worry about the cosmos if you yourself will be long gone before that :-D
This whole concept of the cosmos has been the most fascinating thing to me ever since i was a kid..!! I have to know..i have to know..i have to know.. ![]()
I bet you a $ …I will come to know it first.. ![]()
The Big bang theory, such a load of
utter crap. I was once asked to leave from a college
class for asking my teacher what banged ![]()
CRAP?? …sheesh..God bless your confused soul… ![]()
well, it is only a theory and as such doesn’t answer all questions but a limited set. YOu have a better alternative?
I know eh!!! .. what alternative do you offer?? how much do you even know about the universe?? :nahnah:
The big bang theory is basically a fantasy tale. You can't prove it. You can't disprove it. You take it on blind faith. So much like religion and the existance of God.

if blind faith is the criterion for something to be a 'fantasy tale', then the whole world, the whole existence is a tale, because everything basically boils down in having blind faith in the basic tenets of that theory ;-)
You see the basic flaw in your sentence is that you impose the view that the theory/fantasy tale of the "big bang" is directly related to the creation of the earth. When honestly it can’t be proved. You take it on blind faith.
Just like we take it on blind faith that the world was created in 6 days and the 7 God rested. Both are based on blind faith. But neither you nor I have the intelligence or knowledge to disprove either theory.
Plus I was wondering how could one link an object of reality to a theory and say if A exists then B must be the reason it exists. There can be numerous reasons. Not just one fanciful tale.
All available evidence suggests the universe is still expanding. Little evidence to suggest it would shrink if it ever finishes expanding.
*According to the Big Bang theory the earth
formed long after the stars. The Qur'an (Sura 41:10) *tells us that Allah placed mountains on the earth; then, Sura 41:11 describes how the Earth and the rest of the Universe, which was composed of "smoke", were called together by Allah; and Sura 41:12 tells us that Allah created the "seven firmaments.
This implies that the Earth is older than the stars!
Then the Big Bang goes on to say that the plants evolved
after the sun
Qur'an once again says in Surah 41:10
And He made in it mountains above its surface, and He blessed therein and made therein its foods, in four periods: alike for the seekers.
Yet, the rest of the Universe was created in Sura 41:11-12 when Allah called the already formed Earth, complete with plants (and possibly animals since they are also "foods"), together with the "smoke" with which He formed the stars. Therefore, according to the Qur'an, plants (and possibly animals) came before the stars.
Maybe it's just me but I do NOT believe in philosophical
suicide for the lack of better judgement or investigation.
Neither the Qur'an nor the Bible supports the Big Bang theory.
Both the Cosmic Background Radiation as well as the
Redshift proofs have inaccuracies. If you're teaching me
Big Bang theory you better be ready to tell me what banged.
And to say that the galaxies are moving away from us at
great speeds just isn't proof enough for it be shoved down the
throat generations after generations.

I know that the theory that universe has been continuously expanding since the big bang is based from like a spectrum of different waves and that sort of thing; my teacher i remember did tell me that this expanding has slowly been shown to be coming back in..... but, then again how many years has it begun expanding? That should just as much time in needs to come back into within itself.
so…basically, you are denying it because you randomly took some surah and translated them into what they don’t even mean!! …shucks!!..I got so much to throw on your face sweety…but I won’t dump it on you since you are so skeptical about it. The ayaat you took from Qur’an don’t even talk about universe..and how it came from nothing..!! go do some research…
…and yes you may find out what banged..!!
The Big Bang theory showed that in the beginning all the objects in the universe were of one piece and then were parted. This fact, which was revealed by the Big Bang theory was stated in the Qur’an 14 centuries ago, when people had a very limited knowledge about the universe:
Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation), before We clove them asunder? We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe? (Surat al-Anbiya, 30)
As stated in the verse, everything, even the ‘heavens and the earth’ that were not yet created, were created with a Big Bang out of a single point, and shaped the present universe by being parted from each other.
When we compare the statements in the verse with the Big Bang theory, we see that they fully agree with each other. However, the Big Bang was introduced as a scientific theory only in the 20th century.
The expansion of the universe is one of the most important pieces of evidence that the universe was created out of nothing. Although this fact was not discovered by science until the 20th century, **Allah has informed us of this reality in the Qur’an revealed 1,400 years ago: It is We who have built the universe with (Our creative) power, and, verily, it is We who are steadily expanding it. (Surat adh-Dhariyat, 47) **
