From Al - Capone to Al - Taf --- Mafia lives on

Al Capone was in real life Alphonso Gabriel Capone. The famous industrial and commercial city of Chicago had its “Al”, and we in Pakistan have our “Al” of Karachi. Our Altaf Hussain (could be Al Hussain to rhyme with Al capone).

There are many things common between the two Als. For example both the Als are synonyms for Bhatta khori, and other illegal businesses.

You bet that our Al is smarter than American Al. Our Al turned his mafia into a successful political party. Al Capone on the other hand didn’t think of becoming a political leader using the power of Chicago mafia. Don’t lose heart though. Chicago has produced corrupt mafioso running democratic and republican parties of Illinois.

Going back to Al Capone, you ever wonder how he was sent to jail? On tax evasion charges, and not on mafia business, not on Bhatta Khori, and not on gunning down the opponents. Just tax evasion.

You guys think that our Al can be captured and sent to jail for the tax evasion too? Or you think British government will not allow its “naturalized citizen” to go through the “tough time” in a Pakistani jail.

Altaf Hussain is facing 234 cases including 44 murder cases and 18 cases of torture with drill machines, The News quoted Imran as saying..

Imran says its unfortunate for Pak to have a corrupt person like Zardari as President

Britisher (government) providing safe haven to a terrorist, so whats new? But if some people in Pakistan did that then it is all painful for the world. Anyway since discussion is about Altaf Hussein lets talk about him alone.

We do need lots of reforms in law enforcement, judiciary, I beleive once that is done then guys like Zardari, Nawaz Sharif will have to either leave the country or spend time in jail (as I don’t believe people like them can change to be ‘normal’ person).

So what do you guys think about the following:

This is pretty much comparable to Al Capone's record.

I haven't compared Al Capone with Altaf Hussein, may be you have so I'll take your words for now. Even without these numbers I consider him anti-Pakistan, a terrorist, a con artist. Problem is we can't get such people until we have someone who is strong and is much cleaner, someone who is sincere with Pakistan. I do not have any expectations from current lot, we'll probably have to wait for next generation (hoping that Bilawal and the likes will somehow stay away from Pakistan)

Re: From Al - Capone to Al - Taf --- Mafia lives on

Is the new Karachi generation moving away from the MQM or getting closer? If we expect anything good to come in the future, it's the people who will have to decide, until then, violence will continue because of the blind hatred that is spread by this barbarian.

Re: From Al - Capone to Al - Taf --- Mafia lives on

^ I don't think people will move away, there are reasons people are sticking with party, its job of government/law enforcement to catch criminals and put them where they belong regardless of how big following one has. He needs to be put on trial for all the mayhem he has caused in Karachi, if nothing we need to find some other 'fault' and get rid of him.

^^ Could not have said it better.
