**Zikr-e-shab-e-firaaq say wehshat usay bhi thi
meri tarah kisi say mohabbat usay bhi thi
mujh ko bhi shauq tha nayey chehroun ki deed ka
rasta badal k chalney ki aadat usay bhi thi
us raat dair tuk raha woh mehv-e-guftugoo
masroof main bhi kum tha faraghat usay bhi thi
mujh say bicharh k shehar main ghul mil gaya woh shakhs
halaankey shehar bhar say adaawat usay bhi thi
woh mujh say barh k zabt ka aadi tha jee gaya
warna hur ik saans qayamat usay bhi thi
tanha hua safar main tou mujh pay khula yeh bhaid
saayey say piyaar dhoop say nafrat usay bhi thi~!!
