hi dear . i have long hairs which are frizzy but has volume too. my hairs become very messy whenever i need to style them . i do not want to try too much products . i am also too lazy to blow dry or straight them every now and then. i am getting married in september 2012 and i want to get rid of this problem.
i am thinking about rebonding or xtenso .. could you please help me out .. ?
i asked about my beautician about xtenso and she said that it will last 6 to 8 months. should i get it done or rebonding is better ?
what is relaxing ?
also if i get it done before my wedding then the backcombing which they do for bridal hair dos will damage it or not ?
please help me out ?

Xtenso is gentler on your hair than rebonding. It will eliminate the frizz, and make it easy for your to manage your hair. Rebonding uses harsher chemicals that can damage your hair more. How long the xtenso will last on your hair depends from person to person. I would recommend the xtenso over the rebonding any day, since you don't want your hair to look dry and damaged after the hair treatment. Relaxing and xtenso are basically the same thing.
As for when you should get your hair done, I would recommend that you ask your hairstylist before you get the treatment. In general, your hair won't be able to hold curls or backcombing for at least a month after you get xtenso done, so if you want your hair in an updo for the wedding, I would suggest you get the xtenso done at least a month and a half before September. Hope this helps.

thanks dear .. do you know few places to get extenso done in Karachi ?

Stay away from rebonding. Unless you want burned damaged hair while going bald.

You're welcome. Hina Khan's salon (near Abdullah Shah Ghazi's mazaar), and Bina Khan definitely offer it. I am not too sure of others. Do go to a reliable place. What about the beautician that you asked about Xtenso? If you trust her, you can get it done by her too.

Does anyone in Pakistan offer the Brazilian Blowout yet? That’s what I get done. It’s formaldehyde free, lasts about 3-4 months (longer if you have it done repeatedly) if you use the correct shampoo/conditioner…it must be sulphate free shampoo & conditioner!!
Re: frizzy hairs help - rebonding , relaxing or x-tenso ??
Not in Karachi, as far as I know. Xtenso is also formaldehyde free.

I have no experience with them, so I can't give you my opinion on them...
Re: frizzy hairs help - rebonding , relaxing or x-tenso ??
Is rebonding the same as Japanese straightening? My friend does it and the results are amazing... and her hair isn't anywhere near damaged.
Re: frizzy hairs help - rebonding , relaxing or x-tenso ??
They are basically the same. I suppose your friend is lucky and she probably takes good care of her hair too, because generally rebonding is very very harsh on the hair and really strips it of moisture. In some cases, if it isn't done right, it also burns the hair, so I really wouldn't go for it...
Re: frizzy hairs help - rebonding , relaxing or x-tenso ??
I have had my hair rebonded thrice .....took good care, but now...would never go for it...instead I invested in a good straightner....and my hair are really really frizzy

Re: frizzy hairs help - rebonding , relaxing or x-tenso ??
I recently had the Keratin Smoothing Treatment done. It eliminates the frizz, but you should use a smoothing shampoo and conditioner on a regular basis. I use Pureology. It's great!
Mehnaz how long does it last?
Re: frizzy hairs help - rebonding , relaxing or x-tenso ??
They said 6 months, if you use Pureology smoothing shampoo and conditioner. I use that on a regular basis regardless of whether I have the keratin treatment.
In response to your PM, the keratin itself actually smells so bad. The smell stayed in my hair even after washing it, but as soon as I coloured my hair, the smell went away.
