Frienge Benefits & *nostalgia*

*dang…that’s supposed to read FRINGE benefits & nostalgia - will the mods plz correct this?

Just Listening to their debut album, which happened to be their last. Made me soooooooooooo nostalgic, songs like Tanhai, Yeh Zindagi and Najaney Kyun are really stuck in my mind and make me so nostalgic abt the mid 90s…

This is real pop, the way it was meant to be, on the lines of VS1. Someone get this duo back so they can make more fab music!!! :frowning:

Re: Frienge Benefits & nostalgia

ace of ace ???

Re: Frienge Benefits & nostalgia

Im pretty sure Fakhr-e-alam was in fringe benefits...and the Tanhai song is awesome

Re: Frienge Benefits & nostalgia

No, he was in Yatagaan, but was good friends with Fringe Benefits. They did a song togather, “Pyar Diya Galla”

Re: Frienge Benefits & nostalgia

Pyar diya Gallan :k:

That was such an awesome song. Even the video rocked! It really fused the mid 90s techno and bhangra so well. One of the few songs where Fakhr e Alam was tolerable.

Re: Frienge Benefits & nostalgia

omg pyar dyan gallan...hehehehehe...i remember that song :D

looks like we're talking abt another era lol ,....i feel old now :D

Re: Frienge Benefits & nostalgia

^ tu budha banda old hi feel karey ga na :stuck_out_tongue:

Main tu bohat chota hota tha, kuch theek se yaad nahi :konfused:

Re: Frienge Benefits & nostalgia

Fringe benefits songs were really nice... i like Tanhai... and still have it in my music collection. I remember early 90s in Pakistani music when we have programs like "music channel charts" in pakistan... i watched that regularly... najam, fakhr-e-alam, awaz, vital signs, fringe benefits, nadeem jafri... awesome stuff....

Re: Frienge Benefits & nostalgia

fakhr-e-alam was also in their song called bewafa..i believe it was from the album Rap Up…and pyar di galan was a wikid song :k:

Re: Frienge Benefits & nostalgia

they also had the song “bhangra”…that along with tanhai were killers :k:

Re: Frienge Benefits & nostalgia

^^
Bhangra is a good song - it was actually ahead of its times. But I always thought techno pop like Tanhai and Yeh Zindagi is what suited them, this 'Bhangra' song didn't go too well with their image.

Re: Frienge Benefits & nostalgia

Yeah, they were like the Pet Shop Boys of Pakistan, minus the gay part. They should have stuck with the techo beats and stuff, not Bhangra.
