Do you judge a person’s personality or qualities by their looks (not their makeup, hairstyle etc, I mean their God-given natural looks)?
I often hear people say ‘he has kind eyes’ or ‘she is decent, I can tell by her face’.. Often people will imply someone attractive or even just fair-skinned seems trustworthy or educated.. So are most people guilty of this? Is it mostly true in your opinion or a load of rubbish?
The first thing you notice about a person is their appearance....it takes more time to get to know their personality. It's said not to judge a book by its cover...BUT....there's some truth to physical features/appearance revealing a bit about a person's personality, state of mind, attitude, etc. Someone who is often in a sour mood..stressed...the expression/the tension can become etched in your face. And even body language...open/closed...etc...can give you some clues.
Thinking that attractive people are more trustworthy or to associate positive personality traits with them.....is known as the "halo effect." There has been some research conducted on this. In an experiment people were shown "suspect"...and those that were considered "unattractive" were deemed "guilty" more often than their attractive counterparts.
Naah after going through certain experiences, I try my hardest to go by their actions rather than the kind eyes, friendly, innocent looks thing. I knew someone that seemed like the most innocent, couldn't hurt a fly type of person but ended up being sooooooo completely different in private, it was like polar opposite personalities in one person, i'm thinking it's these kinds of people that the expression "wolf in sheep's clothing" came into being.
after that experience i always go by a person's second, third impression never by their first.
