This news prompted me to open this debate to see how KK members see afridi, is he something that plays with Pakistan’s interest at his heart or not, or Karachi’s interest when he plays domestic cricket?

Here we go, finally Karachi players are realizing how much cancer afridi is to not only Pakistan cricket but also Karachi cricket.
6 Karachi Dolphins players blame Afridi for FBT20 debacle
Sources told The Sports Encounter correspondent here that at least six players of the Karachi Dolphins playing-eleven blamed Boom Boom Afridi for the team’s lackluster performance in the high-profile domestic T20 tournament where the top Karachi team failed to qualify into the knockout stages.
As per details, six players including Mohammad Sami, Khalid Latif, Shazaib Hasan, Azam Hussain, Tanvir Ahmed, and Wajeehuddin didn’t show up in the training session on Tuesday after having serious differences with captain Shahid Afridi.
The training camp is on for the preparation of Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2011-12 which is scheduled to start from October 6.
The six players also had differences with Karachi Dolphins coach Saleem Jaffar, who is also coaching Karachi Blues in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2011-12.
Sources disclosed that all the six players belong to Port Qasim Authority’s team and they were unhappy with the way Shahid Afridi led the Karachi Dolphins in Faysal Bank T20 Cup.
President Karachi City Cricket Association (KCCA), Siraj-ul-Islam Bukhari, while talking to The Sports Encounter correspondent confirmed the differences among the players. “Yes. Cricketers have concerns over some issues concerning Shahid Afridi but they domestic T20 event is over now and Afridi is not in Karachi Blues team, so what’s wrong with them. I met today with Port Qasim’s coach former test captain Rashid Latif and we resolved the issues”, he said.
However, sources claimed that actually the boycott was a part of strategy as Quaid-e-Azam Trophy is being held on the sidelines of Grade II tournament where Port Qasim team is participating and all of these six players wanted to represent their department instead of Karachi Blues.

Off course you can share your opinion as we dont treat cricketers as Bhagwan and create temples for them and pray to them, and dont get offended on someone's opinion in one paragraph of 300 page book about those gods.
Its hard to tell what the issue was whether the players wanted to play from their department as the last para said or if it was because Afridi causing trouble in the team. The players didn’t indicate any problem in particular whether it was playing order, decision making or something else.

In your infinite wisdom, what percentage of Indians do you think actually "pray" towards Sachin like they do for their gods? How many actual temples do you think exist in India with statues of cricketers and people going in for regular darshan? I'd love to hear your estimations.

Poor jokes apart, dont know much about Karachi. I liked to watch Afridi play - when he got going always a joy to watch. His bowling in the world cup was phenomenal. And he has sweet little daughters who give nice interviews!

As soon As this news broke a journalist from geo came out with a revelation that it was a former Pakistani captain who instructed these player over SMS to not to attend practice.
Damage control from chamcha group already stared as it was the same reporter who broke the news that Waqar is a very negative influence on the team and Afridi is having problems with Waqar, these. News used to surface literally minutes after team meetings in WI, infavr geo ticker used to get updated before most of the players got to their rooms after attending the team meetings.

Thats the reason we Pakistanis cant progress ahead and will never till we know who is our hero and who is a FOE.......Here people will bash Afridi all day and night not knowing that atleast he has made our Flag high all over the world ......No one is perfect i know he has done mistakes but atleast he has represented our country at the international level with great spirits and always will What have u done for Pakistan?
