^wud be interesting to see if a similar study wud have yielded similar results in China as well?
I can't understand why people would oppose any kind of research as long as its not hurting anyone. Scientific research of any kind should never be stopped.
As long as the research is completely absurd and has no benefits to mankind whatsoever. Then it is a waste of precious resources.
^how do u know it doesn't serve any purpose...suppose other studies show as well that Friday 13th is a hazardous day due to human superstition changing human behaviour....then more education of ppl telling them that it's merely a superstition can decrease the road accidents
Like my original post said Nescio, these researchers are taking one variable in millions in an extremely dynamic environment and showing it to be the cause of accidents. I for one can not fathom logically how one variable among millions can be randomly decided to be the cause of accidents.
^that's why u take control groups (in this case other Fridays) and hope these other factors are evened out by your control group and the only variable left is the date
although this won't be perfect everytime, but then again, if you would strive for perfection then no research can be done at all
there is also another research .... which says that ttalking so much about friday the13 is also unhealty.
