Fresh aloe vera

Hi everyone,
I was given a spiky, scary looking aloe vera plant today. Any ideas on what I can do with it? I cut some off and mixed the sap with besan for a face mask but it was a bit difficult to apply. It has made my skin feel smoother and softer though, so would like to keep using it.

Any suggestions appreciated!

Re: Fresh aloe vera

I heard aloe vera's gel makes your skin tone lighter by applyin it all over your face but i have never tried it cus it seems much of hassle to cut the aloe and take it out its gel but i really wana give it a try, Aloe vera is awesome plant ever ,wether if you eat it its very healthy, Will control your suger level etc, Also for some hair mask but i dont know how to apply on the hair though as it seems quite sticky?!?! Will search about it:)

Re: Fresh aloe vera

Pinkheels fresh aloe vera is brilliant for skin and especially for cuts and scrapes- it rejuventates skin and ive known people to drink it also !!..... Principally its composed of water , the fresh gel also contains compounds called polysaccharides and glycoproteins. It is believed that these substances may have anti-inflammatory properties and may aid in the reconstruction of skin cells after an injury, thus contributing to the healing process. Also recent research suggests that one such compound found in aloe vera, called acemannan, may have the ability to stimulate the immune system..... cool innit!!!:@:

Re: Fresh aloe vera

its used for cuts and burns

you can mix it with oils, yogurt, egg etc to put in hair

mix it with glycerin and use it as a daily moisturizer for a softer, smoother skin (my grandmother does that)

use it as serum (i use it on my skin before applying moisturizer)

use it as hair gel (i make my husband do that in stead of using regular hair gels :D)

i also put it on some areas after waxing ... it's soothing

Re: Fresh aloe vera

As already mentioned, it’s great for moisturising, on cuts and burns and to cool down the skin after waxing/threading, for eczema

And as far as I know, the plant is a lot better to use than the 99.9% gels.

You can also eat it. A friend of my best friend drinks aloe vera juice (the thick, gel type stuff, not diluted) everyday. Whenever she stops, she starts getting breakouts.

Face Cream

Re: Fresh aloe vera

peel it and use the inner pulp as you will rub an ice cube on your face. I used to use it this way and it instantly freshens and tightens your skin. Fresh aloevera: w o n d e r f u l.

I would not mix it with any thing else and use. Its good enough in itself.

Re: Fresh aloe vera

My mom got a aloe vera plant, and I'm gonna start using it. Glad to hear from you guys that it does work!
Even though I keep my face clean and moisturized, i break out from time to time. Especially since its summer now, the icky weather isn't so great and is making my hair fall out too. so inshAllah I hope aloe vera will help my skin and hair!
