Amazing that Gaudio. an unseeded player got into the final. He played really well and along the way downed a number of seeded and good players. Hope he wins the tournament. :k:
ahhhh henmania was so close.... but lost to the clay court specialist coria wh he had beaten b4 in previous meetings, i was hoping to look forward to a national holiday if tim could have pulled of a win in the semi's and then eventually the final to win his 1st major and i was hoping blair would call 4 a national holiday but it wasn't to be, hard lines tim wimbeldon beckons.
a gr8 achievement nevertheless no one expected tim to reach the semi's of the french open and clay is tim's least favourite surface so welldone kidda for reaching the semi's there is always next year.
Great final, except for the 1st set (6-0, Coria). The fifth set was a real thriller, pity Coria did not finish off when he had 2 match points. The attack of cramps didn't help him either but hats off to Gaudio for sticking in there. Tears live during the prize giving.

ah - it was one of the boring Tennis games - i mean come one - all favorites were out - it's no fun..
however - well done to Gaudio - he went from unseeded to the champion glory..
