Can someone please confirm / deny the following:
after the conversion on menus in some US restaurants and the cafeteria in Congress from French fries and toast to freedom fries and toast, apparently some Republican senator / congresswoman is pushing to exhume the bodies of WW2 American soldiers buried in France (and Belgium) and have them shipped back to the good old USof A. She doesn’t want then to RIP a moment longer in countries opposing the American thirst for war.

I have no idea.. but it might come from Colombia...
As for the reburial deal.. yeah, some fools are saying that. Just reactionary politics. You have to remember, most of these people got where they are based on money, not brains. There was some fool (Senator) calling for a boycott of Evian water.. IT'S OWNED BY COCA-COLA!! Then there was talk of boycotting the Paris Airshow.. over half of the money brought in during that show goes to American companies - not to mention it is one of the biggest spying events of the year for us...
I think the whole French bashing thing just lets some of them feel like they know something about other countries.. You don't hear too much about any other country opposed do you?

Just for historical note, it's not the first time and it seems to stick long-term! Americans ate "frankfurters" instead of 'hot dogs" until the outbreak of WW1!
