Here is a good documentary series on Al-Jazeera…I watched the second episode where they explain how french government meddled in african affairs, manipulated governments, supported various dictators and militias in order to further the interest of their national oil company ELF…which itself was involved in many corruption scandals as well…It is a good insight how foreign nations influence and manipulate underdeveloped nations in order to plunder their natural resources…

This has been going on for long and is still happening in other countries, some blame others for "terrorism".
