Freida Pinto ...Her success is phenomenal!

Freida Pinto is all set to become India’s highest paid film actress as girl is going to be paid around Rs.13 crore per Hollywood film that she will sign. This amount is double what the biggies here like Aishwarya, Katrina and Kareena get paid. All it took her is just a few minutes long role in an Oscar winning film to shine her career.

Re: Freida Pinto ...Her success is phenomenal!

more like... her "Luck" is phenomenal. As you said, she didn't even have enough of a role in the movie for someone to judge her caliber.

She got lucky. But of course, she was at the right place at the right time. Chance favors those who are prepared.

Freida Pinto was born in Mumbai to Sylvia Pinto, a principal of St. John’s Universal High School (Goregaon), and Frederick Pinto, a senior branch manager at the Bank of Baroda. Freida Pinto's father is from Neerude and mother from Derebail, both towns in Mangalore.[1] Her elder sister Sharon Pinto is an associate producer on the NDTV news channel.[2]

Pinto studied at Carmel of St. Joseph School in Malad and completed her Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English Literature from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai.[2][3] She currently resides in Malad, a suburb of Mumbai.[4]

She is also trained in different forms of Indian classical dance as well as Salsa.[5]

Pinto met Rohan Antão while attending St Xavier's College in Mumbai. The two began dating and got engaged in 2008, but Pinto called off the engagement in January 2009.[6][7]

Interesting, no real movie industry connections. Seems like she did it by herself. Unlike the entire new generation of Indian actors who only got in because mommy or daddy was an actor/director/producer.

And LOL, she dumped her fiance as soon as she got famous, almost like "get lost, I can get any man I want. 1 Million internet nerds are currently searching for me on Google"

Re: Freida Pinto …Her success is phenomenal!

:hehe:

What is that, like 2 million American dollars? Meh, that's peanuts by Hollywood standards. That's what idiots like Rob Schneider get for the junk they act in. Get real, and use some God damn perspective people.

Re: Freida Pinto ...Her success is phenomenal!

hmmm is she doing any bolly film?

Re: Freida Pinto ...Her success is phenomenal!

no.

Bolly directors want to give her away to the West.

... with Bipasha, Katrina, Priyanka and few more - The directors can afford to give away Frieda at this time.

..but I'm happy for Frieda. Even she looks surprised with the recognition she is getting... some pictures like the cover of The Maxim - she doe snot even suit it nor she looks comfortable doing a pose like that.

Good for her - she got this opportunity of being recognized, although her role in Slumdog was not enough to showcase her talent.

*And how do you know that she has "talent"? Were you able to recognize the Meryl Streep in her through one of the ten lines she uttered in the movie? Give me a break. *

Re: Freida Pinto ...Her success is phenomenal!

In the entertainment industry.....for a while you're HUGE......and then you're not. Although most of us enjoy movies....it's a fickle business for the actors/actresses. So much has to do with your looks....the obsession with aging....getting angry with the paparazzi for invading your privacy......and then ALSO getting mad that your'e not being noticed enough....and then resorting to various ways of getting attention. It seems as if there's much more insecurity in this profession compared to others.

uff! read what i said first. I said Slumdog was NOT enough to showcase her talent

Read what I wrote first; how do you even know she has talent? You are making that statement based on what, 5 minutes of screentime? Bravo.

Re: Freida Pinto ...Her success is phenomenal!

=/ oh she dumped her fiance .bad

Re: Freida Pinto ...Her success is phenomenal!

She is NOT talented. atleast her talent was not shown in SM.

uffffffff!!!!!!!!!

that's what I mean - that movie had no scoop for her to "show" her talent... that means we CANNOT even JUDGE that she has ANY talent.

(my throat is hurting from shouting now) :(
