Freezing dishes

Hiya

I have guests living with us…So I made kofte and chicken on Tuesday night..today is Friday…i heated the food once on Wed for guests and then after that no1 has had chance 2 eat it as we have been eating from outside…i dont want it to go to waste…

would it be ok for me to freeze it today? If I freeze it, how long can I keep in the freezer before it ‘expires’?

Thank You

Re: Freezing dishes

This is only my personal opinion, I would not freeze that now because it has been reheated. I only freeze fresh cooked kebabs/kofte/tikka, if it was a wet dish like a curry I would freeze it. I dont think it will kill you but they may be a little dry when you reheat them again.

As for how long to keep in the freezer, my personal timings are
Any thing with meat in - around 3 months
Any veg stuff - up to a year
naan dough - 1 month
meat stock - 1 month
