^^Oh really!!! How is that? educate me Madhanee O Wise One. Dont be shy examples will work best.
Re: Freedom of Speech:Flag Burning
For example, Print. Your ability to write a piece of crap is considered speech in this country.
Re: Freedom of Speech:Flag Burning
writing is a form of speech flag burning is not. It may be considered by a few, and that is where I disagree.
Speaking of flag burning being equated to expression, then buring KFC (supposed american Icon) is also symbolic and an expression of freedom by our mullahtoos. It should be allowed as well (not that they care, they do it anyway).
Re: Freedom of Speech:Flag Burning
Verizon jani, KFC sucks, and it’s “private property”, whereas Flag is not a private property. Burning of it is an expression covered by the first amendment. After I burn the flag, I wana shove the pole up some one… that I believe is not covered, unless one has full coverage.

Re: Freedom of Speech:Flag Burning
Help me understand. If I go and buy a dollar 20 flag from homedepot, from my hard earned money (bagging groceries), that is not my property?
Burning of it may be considered an expression but it is not covered in the first ammendment(thats the whole debate).
Re: Freedom of Speech:Flag Burning
I didn't have enough time to read all the posts sry, at work, actually doing work but even though I tear up during the "Star Spangled Banner" and respect the symbolism of the flag, it is still just cloth.
I may never do that, I probably won't respect anyone who does because of the sentiment that made them burn it, but I don't have the right to limit someone's burning their own property. This is the same argument I would apply to the Bible or Quran being flushed. It is a piece of cloth basically and everyone is entitled to think and feel as they wish.
Again - the sentiment and disrespect that makes someone burn a flag, flush a Quran, tear up a Bible, etc I may not respect and I may be upset with, sure. But they are entitled to do those things because the property they do it to is theirs and no laws are being broken.
