Is there any limit or check on it?
Or what physiological basis are used (if any) to keep it from hurting others?
Re: Freedom of Expression
Nothing can define this concept of ‘freedom of expression’ than ‘tera kutta kutta hai, mera kutta tommy’. ![]()

Might is Right approach?
Re: Freedom of Expression
Freedom to express and freedom to insult are two different thing.
If the next person to you have freedom to express, then are you also equipped with the right to ignore as well freedom to retaliate using the same freedom to expression.

people have the freedom to insult others with the protection of freedom of expression rule.

No one is really 'protected', if you cross the line with your insults, there will be consequences.

I think there is no line defined and action is taken only when it turns into violence. and in that case, action would go against those who are offended by insult as they would sort of retaliate violently.
that's what i meant to know when i said is there any psychological ground to define the limits.

I'm speaking here within the confines of the US Constitution, which I completely agree with. The limit is physical harm, slander, or destruction of property. Beyond, everyone has a right expressions, particularly expressions that insult and satirize!
