Srsly though, this baby business is pricey… I’m going to have to rework my budget and things. So any tips, ideas, websites on where to get free samples or baby things online would be fab!

Are you registered at BabyCenter? Through that you can sign up with various companies to receive free magazines, diapers, formula, etc... I used to get stuff for a very long time...not a whole bunch of it, but assorted samples. The formula really helps though, especially because they are smaller containers that fit in your diaper/traveling bag.

I used to get coupons and sample cans from enfamil for about a year i think. At the hospital, they gave me a diaper bag by whoever i wanted, enfamil or similac. I cannot remember what i chose. Hmm i think that was all the free stuff i got, other htan the presents which were alot MA!

Also sign up for coupons online for huggies and j&j etc. Combine them with stuff on sale and you should be able to get brand name stuff for the same price as generic.
When your baby is old enough, make your own baby food. Its not hard or time consuming at all. Just boil some apples, carrots, squash etc in water and mash or puree in a blender. I never bought any jarred stuff (not that there is anything wrong with it) mainly because we had all the things at home to begin with and it didnt make sense to buy from outside. You can also freeze leftovers in ice cube trays. I remember pureeing some soup or rice and potatoes with whatever chicken shorba etc we were eating ourselves.
Check out craigslist for discounted stuff such as furniture.
And you dont definetly need stuff like changing table, diaper pail etc unless you want to have it. I just tie up poopy diapers in a plastic bag and throw away right away and also take out the trash each night so it never gets the chance to stink up.

I think I signed up online at almost every site I could have possibly thought of...I used to get Similac coupons,and coupons for other formulas...
I got small sized containers of formula from both Similac and Enfamil once...
Got a sample of 2 diapers each from Pampers and Huggies in newborn size and later on from Pampers in size 4....
I have been getting free parenting magazines for almost 9 months now....sadly I haven't read any of them...:(
and I think that was pretty much it for the freebies....

Those are the main places where I got free stuff. Actually, all I got was a free diaper bag with all essentials and free forumla from Nestle (Nestle Goodstart is actually BAD, don't give it to your baby). Pampers and Huggies send out occassional diaper samples, but they primarily send coupons, which are definitely handy.

Oh, and I highly recommend signing up for Sears Portrait studio. They send me coupons for free portraits (8x10) all the time, which I definitely use.

Smilestar, a few mom's i spoke to all had the same issues. Their babies were majorly constipated. I tried it with Sonu in the beginning and he was really constipated too. Then I switched to Enfamil and he was ok then.
Princess, it's any photo you want ... you can be in it, family, etc.

If you need valuable coupons do sign up at Pampers,Huggies,Similac,Enfamil,Babies r us.
They send out occasional coupons which are very helpful.I wont call it free stuff,but when combined together these savings do make a difference.
