in this day and age of free photo storage sites and free etc etc.. are there any decent and reliable free web hosts? I’m not counting geocities.yahoo.com cuz i don’t think they allow java scripts etc.. and i just came to know that the hard way trying last night.. but maybe i was doing something wrong..
so what r my options.. other than opening up my own server to the net.. which i want to keep as the last resort.. as it’s not always up.

I am pretty sure geocities does allow you to run javascripts (since this is client side)
If you are looking for free hosts then the quality can't be gauranteed
If you are willing to spend $5 to $10 per month for good hosting then u can find many.

bcz of limitationz by our ISP … i can’t do more at that time .. but if i was in states .. its child play …

Unless for testing purpose I wont advise putting a server at home on ISP connection. OR, get a business connection at home & place the server.
I have done that in the past by placing few servers at home on a business connection. Even hosted few sites.

not picky about space.. i’d only be hosting very small pages.. let’s say 100MB ..
freewebsitehost.net has a hidden cost doesn’t it? u have to purchase an address from/through them.. plus their forums aren’t really good advertisement from them.. tons of complaints.. not to mention new signups are off for now.. technical issues..
hostyournet.com looks ok but if i understood it correctly i can’t store my images there?? wtf? and i can’t use that space to link to my images elsewhere.. hmmm ok .. so it’s only about web pages.. still useful in a sense.. i’d give it a spin..

no u dont have to buy a domain from them, u only have to if u choose to have one. Otherwise use a sub-domain (that is completely free).
But as I already mentioned I haven't got a clue about their service.

well hostyournet.com worked.. but has severe reliability issues... most of the times when i try to access it's down or too slow..
i'll give freewebsitehost.net a spin when new signups are enabled again..

because of fraud cases i require a photocopy of NADRA card + the respective female must call me and count til 20 so i can be sure that its not a shemale.
