Just heard it on radio and did some research and now posting here. I think it would be a great opportunity for many people.
Stanford, Penn, UFM and Princeton; they are offering about 40 online courses for free, in major disciplines. Content is same high standard one that these universities offer in their on-campus classes. They are not degree courses, are free, if you want certificate at the end then you may have to pay $100.
You wont get credited towards your bachelor degree by Coursera, but some universities started to give credit for the courses you have don though this website.
Undergrad school is running up to $40 K per year. Forget about universities recognizing these courses, but if at least employers started to recognize these courses, it would do so great for the young crowd entering the job market and also good for economy.
Seems really good specially would help those who are looking to retrain themselves in extra skills to make place in this very difficult job market .. thanks for sharing TLK
Uptil now I only registered 'cuz teh courses haven’t started yet.
The registration procedure is simple.
Click on this https://www.coursera.org/
On the right hand side you will see a big green tab with “Sign up now” written.
Click on that.
On the next page enter your name , email & password. & click on “Sign up”.
After you have signed up click on this Best Online Courses & Certificates [2026] | Coursera .Then chose the course you want. And you’re done.
