^ Yaar there is one bowling alley in Karachi already. There is not much competition and market for it. Masses can't afford it, so its for elites or upper middle class only anyways. So the market is limited and one facility is enough for that number of people.
Subway is a good Idea, but I have doubts about it, I think ppl might give preference to burger over sub. What do you think?
I have an idea that I think will be a big hit. A Rainforest Cafe :) with a play area for kidz like the ones in some McDonalds. Kidz will be crazy about it, and you will get lots of Birthday celebrations and even business lunches (departmental type) bookings round the year. I have made some estimates on cost of the setup and initial run/marketing for a whole year. Its a 140K project from my view.
rainforest sounds interesting... i have to look more into that. I think it might cost more then jjust 140k if u add in cost for all those robotic animals on the walls they had and to set up the theme.
Ppl talking about al-baik, I've actually seen two in lahore, one is in johar town and the other somewhere near liberty. There might be more, but I'm not sure if these are like, the real Al-baik's.
Burger King,Jack in the box could do really well here, right now we just have Macdonalds as a good burger chain and they are making a lot of money as there are long lines there everyday, but their serivce is really slow and poor as the staff there is a bit dense..thats something that needs improvement.restaurant business has been doing really well in the last few years in pakisan as the economy continues to grow. definitely something to look into for people wanting to make some money as there is definitely a shortage of good restaurants here

subway is already here, their quality is very poor, they are often short of lettuce and its usually not fresh like it is in the states yet they are doing good business here in defence from people who want to avoid greasy food.
Desi, thanks for the input. I was wondering how many people in Pak would like to avoid deep fried food and eat rookha pheeka (my personal fav though) Sub. Its good that ppl coming towards these kind of simple food.
