In My earlier post I forgot to mark “pun intended” because the claim by cricketplaya was ridiculous and ignorant. In pakistan, women go out in modest dress and you can not find any women in mini skirt at a public place even if your life depends on it.
Some Women used to dance in other people’s home 1000 years ago, they still do. What was the influence then ? Do you know when America was discovered ?

Hijabi crowd should realize that hard-work coupled with rise to power first, and hijab second.
People with low socio-economic background cannot force their customs on the rich and powerful.
In some cases, lower classes make certain things cool, like hip hop in the USA. And upper class adopts it. But that occurs on the terms of upper class, and not forced by the lower class.
If Arabs were the top scientists, doctors, and attorneys, they would be able to make "Hijab" look cool and thus acceptable in France. You can't expect ghetto dwellers and taxi drivers to show their way is better. That sadly is a fact even in Pakistan. Lower classes have to struggle long time.

Your method is incorrect. Once they don hijab for "high-tech", "empowering positions" they are likely to stay away for a generation or two and they will astray from the teachings.
Also hijab is not meant for "fashion" so no Muslims desire to put it on other women's top to make it a fashion.
