Might as well say I have no problem discriminating against minorities based on religion and skin color.
This can easily be applied to all of Europe.

The European youth seems to be somewhat discontented. What with the 'binge on beer' movement on the streets of Spain, and the riots protesting new job reforms in France.

If you asked people over here in the uk the same question as to whether they were a bit racist, not at all racist or just plain racist, quite a few of them would agree that they are a bit racist. Infact I would say even we are a bit racist.
I know for sure, if a white person came to me and a pakistani asian came to me with the same qualification and experience, I would probably pick the asian for the job based purely on that he's a pakistani and so am I.
How many of you would do the same?

^ I guess you would do that if u feel that the Pakistani really needs the job more than the caucasian but surely not for any other reason?
And neway what you would do, does it really amount to racism? What the French meant was that they would probably not report to the authorities if they came across an incident pertaining to racism resulting in violence, which is wrong. What you would be doing would be ethically wrong but can it be called 'racism' as the term is usually understood?

What a simplistic view Rizwan. Racism is not stereotypes. Racism is discrimination based on skin, color or religion. In france it is all about religion and being african. When they say they are a bit racist it means that they are accepting they discriminate based on a person's religion and skin and better yet it is becoming acceptible.

Its been over 58 years and we [majority of Pakistanis] still discriminate against indians and they do the same? We fought numerous wars and got nothing but graveyards plus for indians their gaga jaal got millions of ashes.

why do peopel froget once they are under 6 ft they wont be PAKISTANI, AFRIAN, HINDUSTANI, AMERICAN OR AUSTRALIAN. They will be a soul who has tons of questions to answer.

This treand in europe will increase when more and more people come to know about what goes on in the parent country of those immigrants.......

and i thought my compatriots were hypocrites ;).....lol seem they begin to tell the truth more openly to pollster;)..........
i have traveled in few different continents.learnt many languages...and got in many diferent cultural environements..including among various immigrants in france....and it's sad but true: most people are a bit racist...no matter what are their religoin or skin color....everyone is a bit racist or sexist...etc...
cause people tend to gather based on common values, reiligion, interests....
this is a natural trend of our specie, human, to form groups....communities....tribes...
but what is wrong is to let our feelings overcome our intelligence when analysing factual situation...and dealing with violence...

cause very few people are intelligent enough to purely objectively analysing situations and judging with purely scientific reasoning!

I bet if every single one of us were to truthfully answer, we'd all end up picking either 'somewhat' or 'a bit' racist. There are very few people who aren't at all racist.
