Fourth and Final Test between India and Australia

Venue: Sydney
Date: Jan 3 Sydney time, Jan 2 civilized world time
Time: 630 PM EL Sid NY time (for your local time, please refer to the gupshup manual and bylaws)

Rohit Sharma is a proud new father and misses this Test. Much to the delight of Bajrang Bali Hanuman Vihari who slots back in at number 6. The new sacrificial lamb KL Rahul made a cameo for a quick 9 at a strike rate of 150.

Mayank Agarwal scored a nice 77, a full one run greater than his previous highest of 76 on debut way back when. Mayank hit two sixes of Lyon, got greedy and holed out to Starc at long on. The difference between a 85 meter and 100 m hit. A predetermind dance down the wicket proved to be his downfall.

The other Sharmaji, Ishant, is out, and Chinaman Kuldeep Yadav nudges out the other Yadav, Umesh. Kuldeep, no slouch with the bat, may shore up the porous lower order.

Kohli, after getting set, gifted his wicket away to a harmless ball drifting down the leg side, with his counterpart doing the job behind the wickets.

Misbah ul-Pujara and Rahane holding the fort. Spectators in tears.

India is going very well in this series against Australia …
