I never ever in my life expected this kind of reply, even from the most religious and Devout Muslim woman (Assuming Desi Kuri is a woman).

Kuri Jee let me ask you would be willing to accept it???

If you want my Opinion, I still believe that at the time of inception of Islam there were so many tribal and religious and financial conflicts and wars, and so many men were killed, so much so that the man woman ratio went into minus for men, hence there were more men than women, and hence the ruling marry 4, just to make things even.

All I know is that Islam is meant to stay till the end of the world…and So is the Quran. You cannot say that it was like that in those days and is not fit for today. For God’s sake, He knew what was going to happen a few hundred years later.
I dont know much abt statistics today, but I see more unmarried women and unhappily married men. Men to women ratio has always been unequal as far as I know.
What abt the extra marital stuff that goes on around us? It can be prevented if the society accepts polygamy.
Now U ask me If I would accept it. Well to be honest with you, I have been indoctrinated with the same thoughts as everyone else so it might be a little hard for me to swallow But at the same time I have my right to divorce, given to me by Allah if I have problems accepting.
My point is that if I am not ready to go thru with it personally, I wont twist Allah’s words and take that right away from men by saying it was meant to be for that time period only.
